Miracles of the ER and Our Blues: Two Star-Studded Taiwanese Dramas Coming Our Way

Miracles of the ER

Miracles of the ER and Our Blues, Taiwan’s remake of the hit K-drama of the same name, are gearing up for premiere. Both are selected to screen at the Golden Horse Film Festival, feature star-studded casts and nostalgic reunions, putting Taiwanese dramas on the radar.

Miracles of the ER marks Wallace Huo’s return to another Taiwanese drama and a reunion with former co-star Cheryl Yang to play the onscreen couple. He plays the deputy director of the ER Department of a university hospital, while she plays a senior attending physician. Given that the story is also about guiding young doctors, they are joined by the trio of rising stars Kent Tsai, Chan Tzu-hsuan and Peng Cian-you, each coming from their breakout roles. It is set to premiere November 12, 2026 on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese drama Our Blues, produced by Angie Chai, spent three years in development. It not only boasts a budget of NT$200 million (approximately US$6 million) but also a star-studded cast much like its K-drama counterpart. The setting moves from Jeju Island to Penghu, giving a distinctly local take on intertwining stories about love, family, friendship, regret, and reconciliation across generations.

Lee Byung-hun and Shin Min-ah’s characters are now played by Vic Chou and Ning Chang who are on their fourth collaboration having starred together since 2009’s Black & White. The other two couples are played by Amber An and Wang Bo-chieh, Chung Hsin-ling and singer-turned-actor Shin. Other cast include Cheng Jen-shuo, Chan Tzu-hsuan‘s father-daughter pair as well as Kuo Hung-chih and Chiu Yi-tai‘s father-son pair whose families navigate differences following an unexpected pregnancy. It is set to premiere on November 6, 2026.
