Chinese singer and actor Zhang Yixing, also known as Lay Zhang, announced on social media that he is now a college student, reaching for his dreams to pursue the university education he missed out on when he left for South Korea as a teen to train as an idol and eventually debuted with K-pop group EXO at age 20. Lay, who celebrated his 35th birthday on October 7, recently shared the news, writing, “Hey guys, a little life update. I got the TOEFL score I needed, and I’m officially a college student now! Back to school, learning new things, and chasing my dreams. Wish me luck!”
His location tag showed Los Angeles and he literally told fans, “I’m in L.A, where are you guys?” along with a photo that showed a glimpse of his room and an open luggage. Previous rumors about Zhang Yixing pursuing studies in the United States have now been confirmed, with reports suggesting that he is majoring in film and plans to study for around two to three years. However, the name of his university has not been disclosed. In the past, Lay has appeared as a guest speaker at universities like Harvard.
