Mat Yeung and Lisa Ch'ng Tie the Knot in Kuala Lumpur Wedding

TVB actors Mat Yeung and Lisa Ch’ng, the daughter of a late Malaysian Datuk, have tied the knot on August 2, 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, marking a new chapter as a couple after ten years together. Before the wedding, Lisa made it clear she didn’t want any pranks on the groom as is customary for weddings, but they kept the traditional tea ceremony. The 39-year-old bride wore a red-and-gold traditional Chinese wedding outfit, while the 45-year-old Hong Kong actor was dressed in a black-and-gold embroidered changshan. Both became emotional and were seen wiping away tears as they knelt to serve tea to the elders.

Mat Yeung and Lisa Ch’ng’s romance began in 2016 after meeting on the set of the TVB sitcom Come Home Love. Their relationship was tested by several difficult moments, including Mat’s DUI conviction in 2021, and the passing of Lisa’s father in 2023. Despite these challenges, the couple remained committed to each other through the years.

The celebrations continued with a lavish wedding reception, with Lisa changing into several evening gowns along with Mat who donned a light blue suit at one point. Among the celebrities who attended the wedding were celebrity couple Kenneth Ma and Roxanne Tong while Lisa’s sister, Jacquelin Ch’ng, also served as one of the event’s emcees.
