On July 24, 2026, Taiwanese stars George Hu and Annie Chen announced that they had welcomed their first child, a daughter, officially becoming first-time parents. The news came on George Hu’s birthday, meaning father and daughter now share the same birthday. The couple also shared a photo of themselves holding their newborn’s tiny feet.
George Hu and Annie Chen first met in 2012 while filming the Taiwanese drama Love, Now, and later reunited as co-stars in Love Around. The couple eventually went public with their eight-year relationship and announced that George Hu had successfully proposed. The couple registered their marriage in George Hu’s hometown of New York in July 2023, with only a small group of close family and friends in attendance. Although they have yet to hold a wedding ceremony due to ongoing venue issues, with the celebration having been postponed multiple times, they’ve certainly ushered in a new chapter as new parents.
Annie Chen had actually been pregnant when promoting Sunshine’s Women Choir late last year, but she was still less than three months pregnant. Due to her slim figure, no one realized she was expecting. She even took part in a road race in February this year. Her manager added that George Hu stayed by her side throughout the delivery, and together they welcomed their adorable baby girl.
