In a recent presscon for a variety show, George Hu who’s an American-born actor of Taiwanese descent revealed that people can now call Taiwanese actress Annie Chen Mrs. Hu since they have already registered their marriage in the US.
According to Hu, after filming for his variety show, he flew to New York and stayed there for a month and a half. It was also there that the 41-year-old actor and 34-year-old Annie Chen registered their marriage in in an intimate wedding in July attended by about 4 or 5 people. The actor revealed that they haven’t registered their marriage in Taiwan yet. The wedding banquet will also have to wait until next year since there’s no availability.
Congratulations poured online for the lovely couple. Some netizens even commented that the celebrity couple can definitely keep a secret. It can be remembered he’s been linked to Annie Chen who is 7 years his junior since they worked together on the 2011 Taiwanese rom-com Love Now. Whenever the two were asked what the real score was, they would say they are just friends. It wasn’t until January 2022 that both confirmed that they were not only in a relationship but were actually engaged! Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the news of their wedding. He also stated that they are not in a rush to have children, the priority is to hold the wedding banquet first before moving to the next stage.
