Samantha Ko, who leads TVB drama Mrs. Revenge as a character betrayed by her husband that’s having an affair with her best friend, recently shared her own story with Hong Kong media. Although her character goes through a difficult journey in the series, the 39-year-old actress has fortunately never encountered a bad partner in real life. She said, “All my ex-boyfriends treated me very well throughout our relationships. None of them were bad guys.” Asked whether she had ever experienced a third party in a relationship, she said no, “I’ve been quite lucky. I hope I won’t encounter that in the future either.”
She’s Only Had Two Relationships
As for whether she has good judgment when choosing a boyfriend, Samantha explained, “Mainly because I haven’t dated that many times. I’ve only had two relationships.” Since childhood, she has followed her father’s advice to “listen to what people say, but pay more attention to what they do.” She doesn’t really believe in love at first sight as she could have a good first impression, but it’s not enough. She added, “I’m very rational. I like analyzing things, and I read a lot of psychology books.”
When friends offer to introduce someone, Samantha had asked them to wait a bit as she is busy with work. She strongly believes in timing. “If the timing is not yet right, the heavens will naturally have things fall into place like many work opportunities.” Since her last relationship ended, she admits she has met other men, but said they were ultimately not compatible. Asked whether she would mind getting married while she is at the height of her career, Samantha said, “I don’t know. (I) Probably will.” Since her Best Supporting Actress win, her career has been on the rise. She’ll also be appearing soon in a Chinese drama with Bai Lu.
