On September 19, Chinese singer Vae Xu Song (许嵩) and TV host Feng Xi (冯禧) announced that they’ve gotten married. The couple, who met through the variety show Hello, Saturday, tied the knot after four years of dating. They shared wedding photos and the caption, “Our life story has entered a new chapter. Thank you for all your care and blessings. ❤️”

Xu Song is a renowned mainland Chinese singer-songwriter who’s produced many hit songs. Feng Xi who holds a degree in broadcasting and hosting, first became known to the public when she started out as a co-host on Hunan TV’s popular reality show Hello, Saturday. She now works at Shenzhen TV. Their story literally played out in public when Xu Song appeared on the show as a guest back in October 2022. Feng Xi, a self-proclaimed fan, was overcome with emotion when he sang. She revealed that she had been listening to Xu Song’s music since elementary school and even after graduating from college, she explained, “no matter when you listen to Brother Song’s songs, you’ll repeatedly fall in love.”

The two were papped holding hands a month later though their 14-year age gap ignited discussion. Xu Song is 40, while Feng Xi, born in 2000, is 26. They kept their relationship private and did not directly respond to the rumors then, but by New Year’s Eve of 2023, the couple took the stage together. When the audience jokingly urged them to get married, it led to the viral moment when Xu Song replied, “We can consider it.” Over the years, the two were repeatedly spotted together and were also seen meeting each other’s families. There had been recent rumors that they already held their wedding and it’s now confirmed.
