Chinese actress Huang Yi and Thai-German actor-singer Patrick Nattawat Finkler, who goes by the name Yin Haoyu in China, has kicked off filming for their new drama The Killing of Begonia (海棠春).
Shen Zhao (played by Huang Yi) returns at the height of her power, determined to exact revenge. Disguising herself as prey, she steps into a dangerous game. Young general Zheng Yan (played by Yin Haoyu) bows his head while hiding a razor-sharp edge beneath the surface. Using his heart as the chessboard, he carefully lays out every move.
Huang Yi, age 28, has slowly worked her way up from supporting roles where she has drawn praise for her acting. Meanwhile, The Killing of Begonia marks Yin Haoyu’s first male lead role in a costume drama. The 22-year-old actor actually first gained recognition for his role as Time in the Thai series The Gifted: Graduation in 2022. He went on to pursue a career in China in 2021, joining the project boy group INTO1, enrolling in Beijing Film Academy, acting in dramas, appearing in variety shows and now leading a historical C-drama for the first time.
