The Shanghai Theatre Academy recently announced its list of prospective doctoral admissions for 2026, and Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming has been admitted to its Arts Management / Theatre Planning program. Last year, he was unsuccessful in his first attempt and narrowly missed admission. At the time, he responded in an interview: “I’ll try again next year.” Since then, he turned down acting projects for the entire year to focus on preparing for the exam. The 48-year-old actor was studying and practicing questions even on his birthday, and he finally received the good news recently, gaining admission with a score of 271.34 . For Huang Xiaoming who’s said that no one in his family has a doctorate, so he wanted to be the first in his family, it looks like he’s one step closer to fulfilling his dream.

This guy always try to whitewash his bad images thru different means…but ultimately, it is all distractions.

What bad images? Who has no black spots in their lives, encountered bad situations not of their own making, not made bad decisions, or had been immature once? Do you dwell on your own “bad images” your whole life? Do you wish others to, even after you have worked to improve yourself?

@HL well said! He comes across as very superficial. The whitewashing does not really work.
