China held the National College Entrance Examination called gaokao on June 7 and 8. It’s a crucial examination that determines students’ university admissions, and 17-year-old actress Ai Mi was also among this year’s candidates. The 17-year-old star, a native of Henan, began acting at the age of six and has 11 years of acting experience. She has risen to fame through her supporting roles in dramas like My Journey to You and The Double, and has since advanced to leading roles. However, a fellow examinee from the same test center just took to social media to slam her for refusing a request for an autograph or a photo.
The netizen posted in large bold text, “Actress Ai Mi has such a big ego.” They complained about encountering the actress at the examination venue and asking whether they could get her autograph, but she waved her hand and declined. The netizen then asked, “What about a photo instead?” She replied, “Sorry, I can’t,” before walking past and leaving. They added: “She basically didn’t interact with us at all. She’s not that famous, but she acts like a big star.” The post also wished for her to remain “hu” (implying that someone will never become popular or successful).
Public opinion overwhelmingly turned against the person who made the complaint. Ai Mi passed the undergraduate examination of Beijing Film Academy with flying colors, ranking third nationwide. She then took the gaokao in Henan as a regular candidate. Most netizens supported Ai Mi, arguing that the person making the request lacked a sense of boundaries. Some Chinese media outlets also emphasized that a gaokao examination venue is not a place to meet celebrities and that Ai Mi refusing to sign autographs was the appropriate response and should not be criticized.
Another netizen shared a photo they had taken with Ai Mi and came to her defense, commenting: “How is she arrogant? I ran into her at a coffee shop, and she even took a photo with me. She’s such a sweet girl.” The original post has since been deleted.

Well then, although it’s not nice of me, I hope that, that self-entitled brat does badly in her gaokao. She is not fit to join a mature and responsible society. May she be “hu” all her life.
Banu
Who ever that person is.. is not a fan for sure why would you want someone’s autograph or picture just because they are famous 🤔 to sell it maybe??
She there for exam she is not in a fan sign event.
Some people here commenting 🙄 so sick things about a 17 years old girl.
Opinion is a free but wishing someone ill should considered bullying and in my eyes must be banned to even post!! Yes am talking about Anon!!

Dear Banu, I’m giving back to that brat what she dished out to Aimi. If she could do that to Aimi. then she could expect for others to do the same to her. She was the bully first, and she should expect consequences for her actions. Anything wrong with that? Or are you condoning her behavior?
So yes, I wish all bullies reap the consequences of their actions. Bullying continues to flourish, from elementary school to high school into society and into the workplace, because people don’t or cannot stand up to them or other people don’t intervene and let them get away with their behavior. I know. I have first hand experience.

Anon, you should be specific on who you are referring to lol

The way people want other to fail is crazy
Smh
Some people lack a sense of boundaries and appropriateness. What entitled behavior! I’m glad the public turned against the complainer and put her in her place. Celebrities are not at our beck and call, they have lives of their own. And an exam hall is not the right place to get an autograph! Sheesh!!

Well done Ai Mi for saying No!!!
