Rain Wang Herun has issued an apology after a comment left from her verified Weibo account criticizing fellow actress Uvin Wang Yuwen. It began when an entertainment blogger commented on Wang Yuwen’s rumored casting in the upcoming historical drama Ci Tang, saying she doesn’t seem to suit the costume romance makeup styling. Soon after, Wang Herun’s post appeared as a comment, writing “her historical look is too bloated and too stupid, there’s really no ethereal aura to it,” followed by a laughing-with-tears emoji. The comment quickly spread across social media, prompting backlash from netizens.
Some wondered if Wang Herun had forgotten to switch to a private account instead of openly criticizing a fellow actress, while others asked, “are celebrities really this harsh toward each other?” Late last year, the two actresses even shared photos on social media and referred to each other as “old friends.”
Wang Herun’s studio quickly released an apology. The studio said the comment was posted due to a staff member’s operational error while managing the official account. It added that the staff involved had been seriously reprimanded and that the team would strengthen account management procedures. The statement also included an apology to Wang Yuwen. Wang Herun reposted the statement and wrote, “I’m truly, truly, truly sorry.” In response to a comment criticizing her for pinning the blame on staff, she said that there’s “no reason nor excuse, truly very sorry.”
Meanwhile, Wang Herun is reportedly in Tibet filming a variety show. Her social media activity from March 12 and the apology posted shortly after midnight on March 13 both showed her IP location. In contrast, the comment-in-question displayed a Shanghai IP address, which appears to fit the narrative that the comment was not posted by Wang Herun personally.

goodness! so evil. whether you like or don’t like that actress, don’t need to blast it in her face while disguising as someone else.
Anon
You are just as evil. Immediately judging her guilty when evidence showed it wasn’t done by her.

Yeah people with low IQ like you want to start trouble. Did you not read the IP address is not the same? She can’t fly across the country and post that quickly. It’s also a career killer.

I am talking to Avarachika btw.

Hilarious how you ya’ll with such supposedly high IQs just assumed that I was talking about the actress, Wang Herun, and started attacking me when this article listed the occurrence of what just happened.
Uh, of course, I was talking about the employee that they reprimanded who “disguised” herself as Wang Herun because I can clearly see for myself that the article stated that WH’s IP showed her being in a different place when this happened. Guess I had to bother to spell it out for you-guys for reading too much into my message without even realizing who I was talking about. Who did you think I was talking about? Wang Herun? Why? Did she disguise herself as someone else? Uh no.

damyumm girl I messed up and sincerely apologize for misinterpreting your message!
