In the lead up to its August 29 release, fantasy romance drama Twelve Letters 十二封信 released yet another look at its two stars to get everyone excited for its upcoming premiere. Starring Zhou Yiran and Wang Yinglu, Twelve Letters combines fantasy, time and space with tons of feels in an original story that explores the entwined destinies of two generations … all because of a single letter that triggers a connection between a mysterious letterbox from 1991 and 2026.
As twelve letters travel across time between Tang Yixun and Ye Haitang’s generation to that their parents, stories of love, friendship and family ties are revealed. Not only that, but a secret that has remained hidden for 35 years, quietly resurfaces…
Zhou Yiran drew a lot of attention when he appeared in the campus drama When I Fly Towards You. With his youthful aura, Zhou Yiran plays the male lead Tang Yixun, a small town dreamer who discovers some truths about his origins thanks to the letters. Meanwhile Wang Yinglu plays strong girl Ye Haitang who despite being constantly broken her scumbag father’s abuse since she was a child, remains steadfast in her pursuit of her dreams.
Aside from these two, Ren Youlun and Zheng He Huizi play the supporting characters of Shen Cheng and Yu Nian respectively. Catch Twelve Letters as it comes out exclusively on Tencent this Friday, August 29.
