Rattan co-stars Jing Tian and Zhang Binbin are teaming up once more for their next project together titled Long Gu Fen Xiang 龙骨焚箱. Looking pretty excited to be working together again, the pair were all smiles in matchy matchy lime green crew jackets when they attended today’s (June 10) boot ceremony. Come to think of it, considering how the upcoming fantasy adventure is the drama adaptation of yet another Wei Yu novel – the very same author who wrote the piece Rattan is based on, and how it’s going to be directed by Rattan director Li Muge, safe to say it’s quickly looking like a Rattan continuation .. reunion all around though both Wei Yu novels have no relation to each other.
It’s been four years since we saw Jing Tian and Vin Zhang Binbin together on the hit series Rattan. Yet their pairing and great chemistry remains unforgettable for many fans. When they were promoting Rattan, many pointed out how their super adorable interactions off-screen made them seem like a couple. Four years later, their easy interaction and that relaxed camaraderie is still very much obvious.
Although she’d been getting all sorts of roles in Hollywood projects, Jing Tian, in particular, really shined as the title character Si Jin with her strong alpha female having the best chemistry with co-star Vin Zhang Binbin who’s 5 years her junior. As Meng Qianzi in the upcoming series, she once again plays a strong female characer as the cold and proud leader of the entire mountain ghost clan. Meanwhile, Vin plays the mysterious Jiang Lian who just like his previous character Qin Fang is the complete opposite. As a mister “nice guy” his character Jiang Lian is patient and affectionate.
Long Gu Fen Xiang also stars Yang Haoyu, Yu Nan, Zhang Meng, Liu Chang as well as Ge Qiugu, Yang Yuxi, Wu Sheng, Duan Yu, Yang Tong and Jiang Zhengyu.
