Disney+’s upcoming revenge thriller The Manipulated has dropped another look at its two stars Ji Chang-wook and EXO‘s Doh Kyung-soo. As part of the network’s lineup of upcoming Kdramas to be released on the second half of 2025, Ji Chang-wook reunites with his Hard Hit director Kim Chang-ju who will also be directing this one. The screenplay is written by Oh Sang Ho who worked on Taxi Driver and The Roundup: Punishment.
Ji Chang-wook stars as Tae-joong, a man living an ordinary life whose entire existence is suddenly thrown upside down after he is framed for murder. Jailed for a crime he didn’t commit, he vows to take revenge on the person who masterminded his incarceration: D.O.’s Yo Han.
From the stills, we see Tae-joong in his blue prison scrubs looking very pensive. Meanwhile, Yo Han emanates evil mastermind vibes with his all black gangster look. No need to guess who’s the baddie here.
The Manipulated also stars Lee Kwang-soo and Jo Yoon-so.
