It looks like third time is NOT the charm for on again off again couple Sun Xing and Stephenie Lam Mei Ching. Early last year, the couple announced their split. There were even reports that the Hong Kong actor has found a new partner. Fast forward to December 2024, the couple announced they were giving their relationship another go. Recently, however, it appears the couple are closing the chapter to their over 20 year marriage for realz this time. Stephenie just announced she has officially signed the divorce agreement with the actor.
Letting Go and Choosing Herself
Taking to social media to announce their split, the Malaysian actress confirmed that the relationship has finally run its course and shared that from now on, she and her son have nothing to do with Sun Xing’s actions any longer. She said this time she’s choosing not to compromise or suffer in silence. “No matter how much love and pain, how much deception and unbearable the situation was in the past, it ends here! The past no longer defines or constrains me. Therefore I will no longer be responsible for the mistakes made by others! I once gave my all to love, but now I’m choosing to let go with all my heart.”
Sun Xing Relationship with Lam Mei Ching
Stephenie and Sun Xing married in 2001 and had a named Sun Heng. However, they later divorced in 2007 after he was caught having an affair with Chinese actress Luo Lina (骆莉娜). In 2014, the couple were back together again and had a wedding photoshoot but eventually split. In December 2024, the two exes announced they’ve rekindled their relationship. Sadly, it barely lasted for three months.
Sun Xing also has a daughter from his first marriage to writer Pan Yang.
