Three months ago, Chinese actor Wang Xing gained widespread attention after news of his disappearance and subsequent rescue went viral. After taking some time to recover, his recently made his public appearance on Memories Beyond Horizons, which is also his first variety show stint. The 31-year-old actor’s seemingly doing so much better.

The last time the public saw him, Wang Xing was looking quite gaunt and sported a shaved head when he fell victim to a telemarketing and trafficking scam that saw him rescued across the Thai border in Myanmar. Though he was still sporting a short haircut in the promo clips, Wang Xing appears to be looking forward and excited for what the future brings. With a grateful heart, focusing on polishing my acting skills, he captioned.

Wang Xing also shared a bit about his struggles as an actor attempting to break into the industry. “Hello teachers, my name is Wang Xing. I’ve been struggling to break into the entertainment scene for close to a decade. In the past 10 years, getting some exposure is a kind of luxury. I hope in the next ten years, the actor Wang Xing will be the one seen. Thank you.”  Likewise, he also acted out a brief scene of himself reuniting with someone he hasn’t seen for a long time. Considering his harrowing abduction, his emotions undoubtedly reflected his genuine distress from the experience. Hopefully though, things will be so much better for him moving forward.
