According to Dispatch, they confirmed Kim Soo-hyun’s relationship with Kim Sae-ron through multiple sources. A close acquaintance of the actor allegedly claimed, “Because of Kim Sae-ron’s age, they could never publicly admit it.”
Dispatch also addressed the controversy over the 700 million KRW (approx 483k USD) loan that Gold Medalist was said to be asking the actress to repay. When questioned, the agency reportedly clarified that it wasn’t because they expected to get the money back, and that sending the loan certification was just part of the procedure. They also claimed they were willing to wait for repayment once Kim Sae-ron could afford it. However, a screenshot of their chat messages showed Kim Sae-ron reaching out to Kim Soo Hyun begging for more time to repay the loan.
Following Kim Sae-ron’s passing, Dispatch interviewed her neighbors, who recalled seeing her frequently crying in the hallways and stairwell. One even noticed scars on her wrists. I believe Gold Medalist statement that the debt certification was just a formality because Saeron’s letter to Soo Hyun was dated March 2024. If GM really planned on suing her for the debt, there was never a case filed since that year 2024. It looks to me as a case of triggered ex gf who planned to die on his birthday since 2024 to take revenge. All premeditated-the leaking of the photo during the height of his drama (of course it will be denied because there’s an ongoing drama airing)… I feel sad that Saeron did that to herself, fully her decision as an adult at 24 y.o. but it was sadder for Soohyun to take all the blame and being crucified for a relationship he can’t open to public for professional reasons and for being expected to be responsible for an already ex gf. Saeron planned to end her life not because of depression but revenge. Sure you were in such a seemingly hopeless predicament, but we cannot hold the society or another person for our own decision to die. That’s unjustifiable. The world is cruel as it is and if we take our lives because of that, we have some serious weak coping mechanisms.
