Zhang Yaqin Raises Concern After Alluding to Being Bullied in Now Deleted Post

“Does self respect even matter? How can anyone be forced to do this? How can they always bully you and treat you like you’re a soft persimmon?” This was the post The Blossoming Love 千朵桃花一世开 actress Zhang Yaqin shared that raised a lot of concerns.  The fact that she then immediately deleted the post in seconds makes it even more intriguing.

But what was it that she was “forced” to do?  Netizens think she was alluding to her January 21^st post promoting The Blossoming Love. As some folks pointed out, prior to the drama airing, the actress was actively promoting and hyping up the drama. However, once it was noticeable that a lot of her scenes were cut when it came out on February 2, the actress suddenly stopped mentioning it on social media. Netizens are surmising that it’s the reason for the sudden “radio silence” in promotion, and perhaps the reason why she was forced by the show to market it.

Aside from starring as the second female lead in TBL, Zhang Yaqin also portrayed the second lead in the popular Tang dynasty series Flourished Peony which starred Yang Zi and Li Xian that also just ended. The actress was particularly memorable in her role as the princess Li You Zhen.

Zhang Yaqin had her breakout role in 2023’s An Ancient Love Song gaining her praise as an actress. Good enough in fact that some are hoping she’ll land better roles. Others wondered why she has to play second fiddle to The Blossoming Love star Sun Zhenni who’s a newer actress. Whatever happens though, hope this little hiccup doesn’t stop her from taking on more roles in the future.
