Sisley Choi who first started as a Miss Hong Kong beauty queen has quickly earned her title as a “TV queen” having won “Best Actress” in 2020. However, the 33-year-old actress’ career hit a rough patch and she revealed struggles such as not having any new projects to film for a year.

Struggles Behind the Screen

Stress got to Sisley Choi who said she experienced hallucinations and auditory delusions as well as body image anxiety. In a recent episode of TVB show Connecting Earth and Sky 與天地對話, she once again brought up the “dinner scandal” that caused a whole lot of controversy between herself and her Legal Mavericks co-star Vincent Wong. Unfortunately for Sisley, the actress has been dragged into multiple controversies with male celebs in the past.

Although she’s been trying hard to clean up her image and show her authentic self in the show, the public’s impression unfortunately remains stuck in the past.

Accused of Being a Third Party

The dinner scandal with Vincent Wong in particular caused a lot of damage, especially when many questioned whether she was the third party in Vincent Wong and wife Yoyo Chen’s marriage. Sisley admitted in the program that she didn’t put much thought into such a simple thing as eating together socially. However, as her fame grew, she eventually realised that such naivety obviously won’t fly in the entertainment industry. She said the damage caused is something she will have to bear.

The “dinner scandal” as many have come to call it happened when Vincent and Sisley were still filming Legal Mavericks. The pair were having a hot pot dinner together where it was rumoured they locked themselves inside a VIP room together and didn’t come out for more than 10 minutes. This fueled a lot of speculation regarding the nature of their relationship.
