Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin’s “Marriage Exposed” Unveils an Intimate Look at Sex and Desire in New Trailer

Taiwanese drama Marriage Exposed 同棲散策, which started principal photography in August, has already wrapped filming. As one of the upcoming dramas from Strong Production Co., Ltd. (時創影業) for a 2025 release date, it brings the much-anticipated first-time collaboration between Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin. The two play a couple who have been married for 10 years. Directed by award-winning directors Hsu Chao-jen and Lin Chih-ju, the drama delves into the intricacies of romantic relationships.

In the new trailer for Marriage Exposed, we are introduced to a couple who seem to be in a happy marriage. The husband talks about how his wife brings joy wherever she goes. She notes how he loves her unconditionally. Sometimes he’s like a child around her; at other times, he’s full of warmth. But despite this closeness, there’s a noticeable lack of physical desire between them.During a kiss, his “desire” doesn’t react. We’re introduced to more couples in the story, as there are three in total, hinting that the plot will explore various sides of intimacy, with a focus on sex. Ariel Lin’s character states, “Sex is a kind of need, just like food; we don’t just eat one kind.” The trailer teases a secret and potentially dangerous relationships, with its bold take on marriage.

Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin were actually supposed to work together in an idol drama 16 years ago, but it fell through. Then, in 2012, they worked together for a short film for Taiwanese rock band Mayday’s concert, but it’s only now that they’re finally able to collaborate for a proper drama. Marriage Exposed also marks Ariel Lin’s new project with her agent Zhou Meiyu.
