Chinese actor Xia Zhiyuan, known for his roles as Moon Immortal in Ashes of Love and The Legend of Young Justice Bao, officially announced his marriage at the age of 30. Along with the marriage license and wedding photo, Xia shared a touching message on social media that read:
“We saw the future. He came to us, we offered him our time—a small piece of frozen time with beautiful stripes. He covered himself in it and took us to fly towards the happiness in the universe.”
As many sent their blessings, one notable congratulatory message came from singer-actor Luhan, who commented, “Wow, congratulations!” Luo Yunxi referenced to their characters in Ashes of Love when he wrote, “Uncle! Happy wedding!,” to which Xia Zhiyuan responded, “Runyu (Luo Yunxi’s character), love you [heart emojis].”
However, Xia Zhiyuan’s response to Luhan sparked unexpected controversy. Xia replied, “Big bro, you should hurry up too!” Fans of Luhan took issue with this comment, accusing Xia of pressuring Luhan into marriage. They argued that while Luhan was kind enough to send his best wishes, Xia’s reply touched on a sensitive subject that got the actor trending. One fan remarked, “Even if Luhan got married, fans wouldn’t mind, but Xia knows which topics stir the pot and still went for it.” Others feel there’s no issue as it’s a simple exchange of blessings.

Omgee, making a big deal out of nothing! Most people always exchange these type of conversations with each other unless they’ve never been surrounded by couples who has dated for a long time. This is nothing new and it’s not like he’s threatening Luhan with a weapon to get married.

Luhan might have a baby face, but he is not a baby anymore. He’s 34 years old. It’s not a sensitive topic for someone that age that has been in a long serious relationship. His mom probably asks him every day. Asian elders are always on people’s case about marriage and babies. Seems like an innocuous comment that only dramatic fans would take issue to.
