This week, The Double star Vivien Li Meng is once again on the public radar after she was spotted by paparazzo Liu Dachui arm in arm with a man speculated to be her boyfriend. Whilst celebrity encounters like this are nothing out of the ordinary, what’s entirely refreshing about her situation is how she frankly acknowledged the romance.

“Thank you, Liu Dachui. I will be happy and fulfilled. I will act well and live well” she wrote in response to the “expose”. The clip shared by the paparazzo recounts how the actress was picked up from the airport by her mysterious beau. After going home to freshen up, the actress changed into another outfit to run errands. Later, the paparazzo spotted the pair walking around arm in arm as they went house-hunting together. The pair returned home together after having dinner. #LiMengConfirmsRomance trended on the Weibo hot search following her response.
Unique Sense of Fashion
Funnily enough, the paparazzo encounter also brought attention to her fashion sense after Liu Dachui pointed out her style is quite good. One thing we can safely say about Li Meng’s style is that it’s very eclectic. From eye-poppingly colourful outfits to football jerseys, she wears what she wants and isn’t a slave to fashion. It’s obvious that she doesn’t feel like it’s necessary to conform to the norm.
It’s kind of representative of her personality too. Whilst many in the industry have expressed how they found her various quirks too difficult to work with, there’s no denying the 31-year-old actress marches to the beat of her own drum.
