It has become an explosive hot topic due to the enormous number of reads. Considering how past trending topics are often negative, many were relieved and others pleasantly surprised that it’s related to a new MV from South Korean girl group NewJeans.
On July 20 at midnight KST, NewJeans dropped their Cool With You’ Official MV (side A) and ‘Cool With You’ & ‘Get Up’ Official MV (side B). Both side A and side B centered around a storyline featuring Korean model-actress Hoyeon Jung who recently hit international stardom due to her role in Squid Game. If you thought one Asian superstar is enough, try two. Tony Leung’s brief appearance lasts around 15 seconds near the end of the side B MV.
The 61-year-old Hong Kong actor had several activities in South Korea last year and even met up with Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk. But perhaps no one could have expected that the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star would end up in a K-Pop video.
