Look who’s back as Daji and just in time for flashback Friday! Decades after last playing King Zhou’s favourite consort in 2001’s Gods of Honour, Irene Wan dons the costume of Da Ji once again to reunite with the beloved classic’s Timothy Cheng Tse-Sing who also starred as King Zhou of Shang.  “After many years, I put on Daji’s look once again to film commercials. I feel like I went back in time and met King Zhou again. Haha. The story is very different from the original. Do you guys want to see?” she captioned her post. Irene said that the premise of the game is a bit different since Daji really fell in love with the ruthless king.

Once dubbed as the most beautiful Daji, the 56-year-old beauty flew to Taiwan to film commercials with Cheng Tse-sing. It’s easy to see why she’s oft regarded as an ageless beauty although 60-year-old Cheng Tse-sing can clearly hold his own as he too looks like he hardly aged. Irene and her TV partner “King Zhou” looked quite a picture in their matching jewel toned costumes for the shoot. It’s quite a pity that an actual reunion between the TV couple will have to wait since Irene had to hop on a flight back to work in the mainland immediately after.
