Vanness Wu is coming out with his very first English-language single! The news was confirmed by the Taiwanese-American singer-actor himself recently, adding that no, it’s not an April Fool’s joke. He also tagged Virgin Music in the announcement. Prior to this, Vanness announced signing with Virgin and had hinted quite heavily that an English album is coming our way soon.
The single will be called “Chill” and is inspired by the laid back California lifestyle which is very relaxed and easy, in other words quite chill. “It took a knee surgery, a pandemic and countless back and forth over three years time to finally write this post… My first English single “CHILL” coming real soon!!! How we even got to this point is beyond me… I’m just gonna chill and enjoy the ride~” he shared.

Vanness Wu rose to fame as part of the OG boy group F4, becoming huge sensations throughout Asia with the release of their drama series Meteor Garden. The boy’s overnight rise to fame ensured multiple projects and endorsement opportunities for them all. However, according to Vanness and Jerry Yan, the group had no choice but to disband later on, since everyone was not happy and felt quite negatively towards each other in the end. Likewise, each of the members did continue to pursue solo careers in the entertainment industry – appearing on variety shows and starring in idol dramas as well as releasing solo albums.
