The plot is similar to the original “Money Heist” which follows The Professor, a mysterious criminal mastermind as he assembles his gang of thieves to execute an intricate heist on the Royal Mint of Spain.

2. The New Mask

The show uses traditional Korean Hahoetal masks instead of the Salvador Dali masks featured in the original. In the title announcement trailer, the professor contemplates a number of masks, including the iconic Dali mask, and it’s safe to say that we know what he finally went with.

Aside from the professor, the characters have codenames based on cities.
