He asked, and she said yes! Congratulations to actor Li Zifeng (李子峰) and his fiancée Lin Zi (林籽) who just announced their engagement yesterday. Alas, don’t be fooled by the wedding gown as they really just got engaged!
To pull off his surprise proposal, Li Zifeng timed it just as his actress girlfriend was scheduled to try on wedding gowns in a bridal salon. He also especially flew in Lin Zi’s family and friends just for the occasion. In the behind the scenes clips Li Zifeng shared, Lin Zi can be heard saying she didn’t want him to see her wearing a wedding gown until the day they both say their “I dos.” While this isn’t actually her first time to wear a wedding gown having worn one as a model for a photo shoot when she was younger, she was feeling a bit nervous. “I’m not sure if it’s because trying on wedding dresses is a big occasion for a woman, something I’ve been dreaming off since I was a child thinking about my wedding day, it’s hard to explain” she said.
It appears however, that her boyfriend had other ideas. For as soon as they pulled back the curtains for a mini reveal, in walked her best friend and her daughter followed by a nervous Li Zifeng who was holding a giant bouquet of flowers. Li Zifeng dropped down to his knee and after a bit of a fumble with the ring, the rest as they say is history.
