In recent years, divorce rumors between Huang Xiaoming (黄晓明) and Angelababy (杨颖) who got married in 2015 have been relentless so much so that their interactions have come under constant scrutiny. In fact, Huang Xiaoming keeping the tradition of greeting his wife Angelababy on her birthday via social media just this Feb. 28 became a trending on Weibo and was taken as a sign that all is well between the couple. However, Angelababy seems to have inadvertently fuelled the rumors herself this time.
On March 3, Angelababy shared an Instagram post with the caption “pink mood” and photos of two paintings. All in the theme of pink, the first painting shows a short-haired girl in a wedding dress and veil. The second painting shows a boy and a girl. The girl asks, “Are you cheating on me?” While the boy responds, “No, I’m not.” On the right are the words, ““The truth is not important, Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The second photo drew much discussion as netizens began to speculate that Angelababy may be hinting at troubles in her own marriage with Huang Xiaoming. As the comments section got out of hand, Angelababy explains, “Just felt the paintings looked nice to share, there’s no need to over interpret. The first painting is from Liu Ying (刘颖), the second painting is from nuttsh.”
