Liu Yifei Named as Louis Vuitton’s Newest Brand Ambassador

Liu Yifei for LV

Since landing the titular role of Mulan in Disney’s live action remake, China’s resident fairy sister Crystal Liu Yifei has been steadily growing a collection of feathers on her cap with endorsements here and there for brands like Chaumet and Adidas. Today, the actress pulled off quite a coup, joining the ranks of Emma Stone, Alicia Vikander and Léa Seydoux as well as Chinese-Canadian singer-actor-model Kris Wu as the newest face for French luxury house Louis Vuitton in China.

Accompanying its announcement to officially welcome her into the Louis Vuitton family, the luxury brand released a series of photographs featuring the Mulan actress looking quite fierce in Louis Vuitton. Likewise, Liu Yifei also shared the exciting news to her 68 million followers on Weibo, saying she is delighted to begin her journey with LV.

Previously, the highly coveted role belonged to Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing until her tax evasion scandal appeared to have cost her her LV endorsement. In 2019, LV released some photos introducing her as the brand’s newest brand ambassador only to have it mysteriously pulled a few hours later.
