It's a The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog Reunion with Joe Chen, Joyce Chao, Doris Lai and Sam Wang 'Joining' the 7 Flowers

The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog remains to be one of the most well-loved classic Taiwanese dramas out there. It has been 15 years since it aired but people still remember it well. Everyone got nostalgic when its female lead, Joe Chen, posted an Instagram video with fellow cast mates. Joyce Chao, Doris Lai, and Sam Wang joined her in a Halloween party in which she wrote, “Old friends, the times. ~~~~~ #uncle Sam, you’re so seductive.”

In the clip, Sam Wang shouted, “We are Qi Duo Hua” or 7 Flowers. It was very funny because 7 Flowers was actually the girl group that Joe, Joyce, and Doris were in back in 2005. On the other hand, Sam Wang and leading man Ming Dao were both part of the boy group 183 Club with both groups singing the theme songs for the drama that many of us have come to remember by heart. Sam Wang replied to Joe Chen’s post saying that they get hotter as they get older. He’s not lying though because I can still recognize all of them from their roles from more than a decade ago.

It’s cool to note that Joyce Chao also starred in The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog remake this year. In the original, she was the second female lead who was supposed to marry Ming Dao’s character. In Forget You, Remember Love, she played as the female lead’s mother.

I just love strong friendships among cast members and drama reunions so this news made me happy. Fans have already been treated to Joe Chen and Ming Dao several interactions with Joe also sending in warm greetings when Ming Dao revealed earlier this year that he is married with a kid. Hope to see a more complete reunion next time!
