This weekend is an exciting one for actress Fala Chen as her new HBO miniseries The Undoing debuts on American television. The actress landed the role of Jolene McCall in what she describes as her very first television gig out of drama school, and it’s with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant no less!
To mark the special occasion, Fala popped a series of photos of herself on Instagram with some of her colleagues like Hugh Grant and director Susanne Bier. She wrote “My first on-screen job out of drama school. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with this amazing cast and crew. Can’t wait to see the 2nd episode next Sunday on @hbo! @susannebier @nicolekidman @matildadeangelis @mariadizzia @vedettelim #hughgrant @undoinghbo #theundoing Thanks @giorgioarmani for this beautiful evening gown.”
Six years ago, Fala packed her bags to pursue a Masters degree in Drama at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. Fast forward to a few years later, who could’ve imagined she’d be making her debut on US television with the likes of Nicole and Hugh as her cast mates? As far as big breaks go, she truly couldn’t have asked for a better return to showbiz than that!
Multi-hyphenate Fala Chen first got her feet wet in the Hong Kong entertainment industry hosting variety shows for TVB more than a decade ago. Since then, she has added actress and singer under her belt after appearing in various TVB productions and even dabbling in theatre. Fala also released a music album back in 2012.

Seriously
Lol, I love how this is being blown out of proportion. She had two lines, one scene, in it she portrayed the typical trophy wife. Hong Chau has had SIZEABLE acclaimed roles in two major drama series (Watchmen & Homecoming), those are roles to wrie an article about. Fala was “vase with pretty flowers”
