Singer-actor Lin Yanjun might not yet be anywhere near becoming a household name, but he’s another step closer to that dream. Looking every inch the idol in a black shirt layered over a white button down and white trousers, the former Nine Percent member was spotted attending the boot ceremony of his newest romantic drama Crush 原来我很爱你, when filming kicked off yesterday.
Lin Yanjun first broke into the acting scene last year after landing a role in the still unaired Republican drama Fall in Love 一见倾心 which also stars Chen Xingxu and Zhang Jingyi. Crush marks the second one he headlines in which he plays the role of Su Nianqin opposite actress Wan Peng’s Sang Wuyan. Wan Peng was super cute when she played an alien girl who goes gaga after catching a whiff of male hormones in last year’s quirky rom-com My Girlfriend is an Alien.
“I fell in love in one glance, and head over heels for a lifetime“. What begins as a mutual crush becomes something more as the mysterious songwriter Su Nianqin and the cheerful broadcast assistant Sang Wuyan get to know each other. Though the pair’s road to happily ever after is quite bumpy, the heart wants what it wants…
Crush is adapted from the novel of the same name by author Mu Fusheng, and also stars Li Jiahao, Niu Yukun, Li Jiaqi, Chen Meiyi and Zhao Xin.
