Two weeks after cracking her forehead accidentally in her hotel room while filming a new project in Xiamen, Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung quickly popped into social media to thank well wishers for their concern and to give an update on the state of her stitches.
“After more than ten days in recovery, my “little buddy” on my forehead is finally well on the road to recovery. Immediately after my accident, I kept feeling very confused. However rest assured that everything is okay now. Thank you for your concern and love during this period. I would like to thank Mani (her manager) and Joey (her best friend) for immediately flying out to be with me in Xiamen. I would also like to thank the department head and every medical personnel who looked after me.
Thank you to Simon Yam, Kara Wai, Charlene Choi, Raymond Lam and to the staff working with me. It’s through your support that my wound was able to heal so quickly. I would also like to thank the two crews, your attentiveness and consideration made me feel warm and happy. I look back at this little accident and remember it as a sweet “burden”. Thank you once again to everyone who loves me, thank you to every fan, and would like to apologise for worrying you. I will make sure to take good care of myself, don’t worry about me~ At the same time a big hurrah, because concealer simply is a great invention.”
Gillian Chung was rushed to the hospital on September 7 and had to receive several stitches to close her 6 cm wound after hitting her head on the marble countertop inside the hotel bathroom. She had just gotten up to use the toilet when she suddenly felt dizzy.
