Longtime couple Benjamin Yuen and Bowie Cheung has revealed that they got engaged a year ago! The couple have been dating since 2017 and marriage rumors went into overdrive after they bought a multimillion dollar home together in May. They denied the rumors back then saying that it was for only investment. But now, the couple have revealed that they ARE officially engaged!
On September 17, TVB stars Benjamin Yuen and Bowie Cheung took to social media to upload a video of the surprise proposal while the two were vacationing at Niagara Falls, Canada last year.
Bowie wrote, “Last year today at 6am, you got up early for an early morning run. Who knew that the jet-lagged me would also be in good spirits so I went with you on the streets as the beautiful morning unfolded. I saw you lay your phone down by the tree, so I thought that you were trying to take a photo of us doing stretches. You got down on one knee, so I almost kneeled down with you because I thought we were doing a couple workout
Then with the sunshine, waterfalls and green grass as our witnesses, we listened to each other quietly, simply and purely. Thanking God for the most beautiful arrangement.”
Benjamin captioned the video saying, “During an autumn morning in 2019 at the other side of the world, the rays of the warm sun shone brightly on the green grass accompanied by the reverberating echoes of the waterfall. There were no friends, no extravagant design and no special arrangements just you and I. When you thought that I was taking a photo of us as a souvenir, I made a major decision in my life. I didn’t plan my lines and simply asked, “Will you marry me? Be my wife!” After a lot of ups and downs, it is time to settle down. Thank you for your willingness to see the world with me for the rest of our lives.”

Hong Kong television actor Benjamin Yuen started his career with TVB in 2007. He will also be featured in the long awaited sequel, Line Walker 3. In August 2017, he began dating Bowie Cheung. Congratulations to the happy couple!
