SBS drama My Royal Nemesis continues its upward momentum in ratings, finally hitting double digits with 10.3% for its most recent episode. It’s been a steady climbed since its premiere of 4.1%, marking its highest rating so far. The series has become the new ratings leader for the Friday-Saturday time slot, as new action-comedy Fifties Professionals still tries to gain its footing with premiere week numbers of 4.4% that fell to 3.6%. The ratings success of My Royal Nemesis has been widely expected especially now that Perfect Crown, its competition and the previous ratings leader, has ended. It carries another royal-themed storyline propelled by strong word of mouth that has further boosted interest week by week.
My Royal Nemesis is a time-travel romantic comedy starring Lim Ji Yeon as a woman known in history to be a Joseon-era villainess, who is sentenced to death by the king. She wakes up in modern-day Korea as struggling actress Sin Seo Ri. There, she becomes entangled with a ruthless chaebol heir played by Heo Nam Jun.
