Popular Chinese actress Zhou Ye has been caught up in dating rumors. Paparazzo Liu Dachui released videos showing her meeting a mysterious man on two separate occasions, which many people see as solid evidence that the two are indeed dating.
Zhou Ye was photographed by paparazzi engaging in intimate interactions with her boyfriend. One clip shot in April shows the 28-year-old actress meeting a man after returning to Beijing. As soon as they met, they hugged and kissed with the actress also seen reaching in and playfully lifting his shirt. After finishing work, Zhou Ye was once again papped in May, meeting the man at a private residence where they shared a kiss upon seeing each other. Netizens now find it telling that Zhou Ye had posted, “I’m very happy today!” on Chinese V-day on May 20. Speculations about the tall mystery man’s identity has some guessing he’s either a non-celebrity or new actor Zhou Hao Qi who is 22 years old.
Meanwhile, the footage has sparked criticism that paparazzi had violated privacy rights with past cases where celebrities were photographed indoors since they hadn’t closed the curtains. Nevertheless, the dating rumors has propelled the actress to number one on the Chinese hot search. It’s also gotten people joking that the paparazzi has finally captured something.
Some fans expressed concern that as a popular post-95 actress, Zhou Ye is at a crucial stage in competing for film and television resources, and that publicizing her relationship could affect her dramas and her commercial value, which is why these “career fans” are urging her to “join a production” and start filming already. Sometimes I don’t understand what the differences are between paparazzi and professional stalkers. Both make money off of others’ privacy and both seem to only seek to harm the folks they follow. I greatly dislike paparazzi after what happened with Diana. Honestly why don’t paparazzi do something benefical with their skills: become detectives or help the police. I don’t think I’ve read of a single occurance when what a paparazzi found out was helpful to the public. Paparazzi are the ticks that kill their own golden geese; murderers without any consquences.
