Taiwanese singers Cyndi Wang, 43, and Kenji Wu, 46, have sparked fresh dating rumors after being photographed together late at night in Taipei. The two were seen returning together to Wang’s residence, where Wu reportedly stayed overnight, further fueling speculation about the nature of their relationship.
According to Taiwanese media, Cyndi Wang and Kenji Wu dined with friends for approximately four hours at a Japanese restaurant in Taipei back in January. After the gathering, they took a taxi together to Wang’s home. The pair exited the vehicle separately. However, Wu was later seen entering the residence and was not photographed leaving until the early hours of the following morning.
This incident marks the second time within six months that the longtime friends have been linked to each other romantically. In September 2025, they were photographed together at an airport, followed by reports of multiple overseas trips together, including visits to Bangkok, Mount Fuji, and Italy.
Neither party has directly confirmed nor denied the dating rumors. Cyndi Wang’s management responded, “Thank you for your concern. We have no comment,” while Wu’s team stated that they do not respond to artists’ private matters. The silence has drawn attention, particularly in contrast to Cyndi Wang’s response last year when she described Kenji Wu as “a friend of over 20 years.”
Cyndi Wang and Kenji Wu first became acquainted in 2005 through their collaboration on the music video NANANA. Public reaction has been largely supportive.
