Yield to You Teases Smut That You Didn’t Get in the Original

Yield to You 折腰, The Prisoner of Beauty’s short drama version just released a teaser, and boy, get ready because it’s a spicy one! So spicy that it even came with a warning: children are not allowed to watch. The 100 episode series based on the novel The Marquis is Innocent began filming on August 4th and recently wrapped on the 16th. To celebrate the milestone, production released a short trailer teasing what’s to come.

Whilst the 23 second trailer might sound short, don’t let that fool you because production managed to squeeze in a couple of racy moments teeming with sexual tension between its two stars. Then there’s the multiple clips featuring Yue Yuting’s Xiao Qiao and Wu Xize’s Wei Shao sharing kisses.

As a short drama, the series is expected to stay close to the source which has a ton of smut, and from the looks of things it’s safe to say they did just that. As one commenter put it, “lots of bed and kissing scenes” just about sums up the teaser. Unlike the longer drama version featuring Lareina Song Zu’er and Liu Yuning which is subjected to review by the censors, Netizens pointed out that the show seems to have included everything they couldn’t in the TV version. We see Xiao Qiao, grabbed by the chin during her bath, then embraced from behind by Wei Shao. With our main couple starting out as enemies forced into a marriage, their relationship certainly progresses as they grow closer.

With the series already in post production, there’s speculation the show will hit screens as early as October 2025. However, like all rumours, this is far from confirmed.
