Chinese Theme Park Performer Goes Viral for “Princess Carrying” Guests with No Weight Limit

A theme park performer in Henan, China has found himself trending for offering “princess carries” to visitors—regardless of their weight. The man, in character as Sang You Yi Mu, is a buff roleplayer sporting a deep tan complete with animal ears and caveman style costume. Being tall, dark and handsome at 188cm tall and being dubbed the real-life Antelope King, he would proactively princess-carry theme park guests. The term “princess carry” refers to lifting someone in your arms—one arm under the knees and one supporting the back—just like a prince carrying a princess in fairy tales.

For the guests, there’s no need to worry about weight but to just be themselves. He even added: on hot days, if he has to refuse the next guest after carrying so many people, he’d assure it’s not their fault—just that he needs to cool down. Clips of him lifting women of all shapes and sizes went viral. In contrast, some Netizens mocked male celebrities who couldn’t lift their female co-stars.

Whether this was a clever PR move by the park, many supported the message behind it. Even local firefighters joined in, taking the opportunity to explain different rescue methods, including the princess carry.
