Renowned 74-year-old Chinese film producer and director Zhang Jizhong is currently under fire from his second ex-wife Fan Xinman, also a director, who accused him of cheating and for transferring out RMB 300 million worth of property and stock whilst they were still married to each other. But from the looks of things, the wuxia film mogul is certainly not taking it sitting down as he promised to fight back against her accusations with everything he’s got. “I will do everything to protect my current family” he said. Zhang Jizhong is currently married to his former assistant Du Xinglin whom he wed a year after his divorce. Between them, the couple have a 31 year age gap and share four kids together. The director also has a daughter, producer Zhang Yuxin, from his first marriage to ex-wife Wang Ding.
A Tumultuous Divorce with His Second Ex-Wife
After marrying in 2002, Zhang Jizhong and his second ex-wife Fan Xinman divorced in 2016. However, the divorce didn’t stop the constant legal squabbling over issues such as property distribution and privacy infringement. Last year, the director was fined for disclosing private and personal details about his ex when he posted their divorce agreement on social media. As he failed to block out details anyone would want to keep private – including deets about asset division, she promptly sued him for violating her privacy.
Zhang Jizhong Responds: ‘I Will Protect My Current Family’
Now as for this latest volley of accusations from his ex, the director referred to them rumours and slander. “For nine years I have been persecuted endlessly by different means. I’ve been enduring it, but people should know what’s good for them!” He shared unlike his marriage to his current wife which he said made him feel the warmth of family, his first marriage was anything but. He emphasised that he has a clear conscience. “Evil cannot prevail over justice! My heart is sincere, I never failed in my duty to anyone, my conscience is clear.”
Fan Xinman Claps Back: ‘Do a DNA Test!’
Meanwhile, Fan Xinman clapped back, “@Zhang Jizhong Stop provoking me! Stop prying into my life! Stop sending people to follow me! Stop mentioning me in any setting! If you can’t remember this, read the court ruling a few more times! As for the truth, just do a DNA test on the illegitimate child — that will make everything clear. I remember I also made this request during the court hearing. Do you dare?”
Zhang Jizhong is famous for his film adaptations of Louis Cha’s wuxia novels like The Legend of the Condor Heroes and Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils as well Chinese classics such as Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms and The Water Margin.

That eldest boy in the picture looks like he is going to be a lot of trouble when he hits his teens. Looks quite different from the younger siblings too.

This director likes to film ppl riding horses in shallow water splashing (very dirty looking, almost sewage-like) water everywhere. I think every actor and actress that signed up to him had to endure filming such filthy scenes.
