Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao is almost back to fighting form after a hip fracture put her out of commission. In 2022, the 45-year-old star had to call off her scheduled world tour after being told she had to undergo five surgeries including a hip replacement to fix it. Before making her first public appearance on the musical variety show Next One 让我来唱 Elva’s agent had already said she’s 80% recovered. Looking at her now, the singer is clearly on the mend and even said she now feels like “she’s back to the time when she first made her debut.”
A Two and a Half Year Break to Heal and Recover
In total, Elva has been out of the public eye for two and half years. When asked after making her return, the singer said “I’m back on the stage that I love the most. It felt like I was starting all over again, as if I had just made my debut.” To date, she’s undergone five surgeries for her hip, the most recent (and the last one) barely three months ago. She then underwent intensive therapy to ensure she’s able to be on stage once again. Luckily, it looks like all her efforts have finally paid off.
Elva says she’s very grateful for everyone’s concern and is very thankful everyone gave her so much leeway to undergo rehab and get back in fighting form.
