A situation any star wouldn’t want to find themselves in just happened to Taiwanese singer Olivia Tsao who recently had a disturbing confrontation with a female fan that left her all shaken up. After the encounter, Taiwanese media reported that the Golden Melody Award winner suffered from broken nails and even had her phone strap torn after she was waylaid by the fan who demanded she unblock her on social media. “I am cursed and threatened every day, every hour, every minute” shared the frustrated star on social media.
Disturbing Messages Keep Coming, She Says
The award winning singer said she feels helpless living in a time where the internet has no boundaries and that she feels she has no choice but to accept this “curse” every day. The screenshot of the messages she received read “if Olivia Tsao blocks me, I’ll get run over by a car” and “forever dogging Olivia Tsao’s footsteps”. She also said blocking the woman appeared to be useless since her harasser can still send messages through other channels and that it’s impossible to ignore. It is reported that the harassment has allegedly been going on for more than a year and that the woman has been using multiple Instagram accounts which have all been blocked.
Stalker Travels from Singapore for a Face-to-Face Confrontation
Indeed her harasser seems to have found another way to “contact” her as it looks like she even flew all the way from Singapore to Taiwan to have a face to face “chat”. According to media, the altercation happened at the train station where the star was waiting to take the train back to her hometown. In the partial video she managed to record, the stalker can be heard demanding her to “unblock me” as she kept blocking Olivia’s way forward. The scuffle ended with the stalker being apprehended by Taipei police.
