“I’m gonna be a mum!” Congratulations to Taiwanese actress Bernice Tsai Yi-chen (stage name Wu Xiong) who recently announced she and her non-showbiz husband are expecting! Taking to social media to share the news, the 37-year-old star’s pregnancy announcement was extra adorable as she and her husband shared the spotlight with their super cute fur baby.
It seems the month of hearts was extra special this year for the ecstatic couple who found out they were pregnant. The KO One actress shared she’d been feeling poorly two days before they found out but that she didn’t really put much thought to it even when her husband suggested she might be pregnant. When the symptoms continued the day after – feeling tired and wanting to throw up, feeling hungry yet not wanting to eat (not her usual), she finally caved and got a pregnancy test from a pharmacy. And then … two lines!!!
“After returning to Taiwan, we heard the baby’s heart beat during my prenatal checkup. It felt fantastic! Baby is now seven weeks old! I feel the changes in my body every day, and I just want to lie down. Hope everything goes well these coming months. I’m going to be a mum!”
Fans of Taiwanese dramas probably grew up watching Wu Xiong who appeared in a slew of popular shows such as the KO One series franchise, Tokyo Juliet and They Kiss Again just to name a few. Meanwhile, her older sis Emily Tsai Han-tsen, who recently turned 39 and is also a KO One alumn, just announced her marriage to husband Nick this month.
