South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was found dead by a friend at her home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 24. The police stated that there were no signs of external intrusion or suspicion of homicide, and the exact cause of death is still under investigation. The news comes just months after she announced her comeback with the film Guitar Man.
Kim Sae-ron entered showbiz as a child actress at age 9, winning awards for her role in The Man from Nowhere (2010) where she starred alongside Korean superstar Won Bin. However, her career took a sharp downturn in May 2022 when she was involved in a DUI incident in Gangnam, Seoul. She crashed into a transformer, causing power outages and business disruptions. She later apologized and was fined but public backlash led to her removal from ongoing projects. The actress drew flak again in 2024 after she posted then quickly deleted a close-up selfie with actor Kim Soo-hyun. His agency, Goldmedalist, issued a firm statement denying any romantic relationship.
After previous unsuccessful attempts, Kim Sae-ron announced her acting comeback in November 2024 as she had just wrapped the film Guitar Man, which now becomes her final work. It was revealed that Kim Saeron had recently changed her name to Kim Ah-im in an attempt to start over, making her sudden passing just three months later all the more shocking.

South Koreans seem to have no toughness and resilience in them. They just choose to opt out whenever the going gets ugly and tough.

Wow, seriously, what kind of a person are you to say this? She has been trying! Imagine going for a waitress job, and still getting rejected! She has tried to just be a normal person, but no one is giving her a chance! Her mom was abusing her, she has been working since she was 7! Her life was as sh1tty as sh1tty can be! To say she has no toughness is very very wrong. You were not in her shoes, you did not live through her experiences! South Korean mentality means girls will always get judged harshly, and they get no escape, no real second chances! If you have nothing better to say, then shut it! Be respectful!

thank you for this comment. Anon ‘s comment left me speechless. Isn’t it convenient to hide behind anonymity and judge harshly. and spread unverified rumoured?
Her father called out particular youtuber who made her life incredibly hard even this January and pollinated internet as well with hate and degrading comments. I hope they sue him/her.

And your name is also not “annoymous”? Anon is part of my name. So don’t assume.

Seriously?? More shitty than half the population in this world? Only in South Korea, girls get judged harshly? Only she get abused by her parents? Have a look at all the child labor going on in the world. Being rejected for a waitress job and the world collapse? South Koreans have the highest suicide rates in the developed world. If that is no resilience and hopelessness, what is it? How else do you account for all these South Korean celebrities who self-destruct at such a young age.
Just calling a spade , a spade. No need to get all sanctimonious and righteous about it.

absolutely heartless.
