Two years since it was shot in 2023, Reopen My Journals, which was Li Yunrui’s first drama as the male lead finally hit the screens. A throwback to the 90s, the youth C-drama features heartwarming but often complex stories between four families – 15-year-old Qian Jiayue and her estranged mum Chen Xiu’e, Chen Pengyu and his rebellious daughter Chen Mo, Guan Aiping who singlehandedly raises Xiao Han alone despite being laid off, Zhang Qiming with his trouble making son Maotou. The series features the pairing of Li Yunrui and Huangyang Tiantian who play next door neighbours Xiao Han and Qian Jiayue. Aside from Reopen My Journals, Li Yunrui and Huangyang Tiantian are both in Perfect Match, which serendipitously premiered today, January 25th as well as the upcoming Rebirth aka Princess Agents 2 which many have taken to calling it.
Between them, Li Yunrui who’s 28 is eleven years older than Huangyang Tiantian who’s turning 18 this year. There was already mild uproar online when the two were announced in Rebirth as they’d be playing an onscreen couple as Chu Qiao and Zhuge Yue.
