Katy Kung recently shared a gorgeous wedding video on her social media page. But guess what, it turns out the wedding teaser was a clip from singer Aska Cheung’s newest MV for a song. I say, they sure had us all fooled with that one because it totally looked like a legit wedding vid. Think dreamy sunset scenes, Katy and her groom in their wedding outfits, exchanging rings and sharing sweet looks at each other.
The teaser even had the words ‘Yes, I do’ and the date 2025.01.08 on it. Accompanying the clip, Katy’s post read “thank you for coming into my life, WMXGHZYSQN, a little story that belongs to us. I hope it will surprise you, tomorrow night 8 Jan 21:00”. Well, fans were given a big surprise indeed because the clip … turned out to be an MV and not a wedding announcement as many assumed. Top marks to whoever dreamed up this clever marketing ploy and kudos to the director because the “couple” sure looks so loved up and gorge in all their wedding finery. Fans had sent in their warm wishes and even her friend Priscilla Wong was almost fooled.
With her sweet ‘girl-next-door’ looks, fans have often wondered about Katy Kung’s love life. Although there have been many rumours, the 35-year-old Hong Kong actress never confirmed anything. It’s no wonder fans were pretty ecstatic for what they thought was a wedding announcement.
