Tavia Yeung has finally addressed the long-standing rumors of bad blood with fellow actress Nancy Wu. The two television queens of TVB go way back, having starred together in the 2004 drama Twin of Brothers. Their alleged feud traces back to an incident at the 2010 TVB Anniversary Awards, where a video clip circulated showing Tavia appearing to give Nancy a dismissive shoulder bump before turning her back to chat with another actress, Kate Tsui. This sparked speculation of a rift between the two, leading to heated debates among fans.

Rumors even suggested that the tension was due to their co-star Ron Ng. The two actresses stirred up the gossip mill again 14 years later when they were seen acting friendly and posing for photos at actor Roger Kwok’s star-studded 60th birthday party, prompting netizens to revisit the decade-old controversy.

When asked by the media, Tavia finally set the record straight, putting the rumors to rest. She explained, “So funny, that clip is being talked about again now. We recently saw each other at Roger Kwok’s birthday party, and it was just a funny misunderstanding. There’s never been any ‘issue’ between us.”

Tavia added, “Nancy and I, we’re not (on bad terms). The whole situation is quite funny.” When asked if they purposely hugged at Roger Kwok’s party, the 45-year-old actress clarified, “No, we often hug when we see each other. Really never gave it much thought. When we see each other, we hug.” When questioned why she and Nancy didn’t clarify things earlier, Tavia said, “Because there was nothing, no need to clarify. It doesn’t exist. It was just a small gesture of mine, and the clip got blown out of proportion.”

Tavia recalled the incident from years ago, saying she had woken up to find the clip circulating and even messaged Nancy to ask what was going on. Nancy reassured her there was no need to worry, as the clip was just making the rounds online. Tavia reiterated that it was all due to a simple gesture that was misinterpreted.
