Previously, rumors about Joey Yung dating female director Li Xuan (李璇) caused a stir. When these rumors surfaced, “Joey Yung loses fans” trended on social media as many of her Chinese fans didn’t approve, with some even attacking the director’s looks.
Earlier this month, Joey Yung addressed the rumors in an interview, clarifying that there’s no gossip as they are just friends. However, her recent concert comment reignited rumors about her sexual orientation, that she might be bisexual. In the past years, Joey Yung has stated she is single. Her public relationship with singer Wilfred Lau ended in a breakup. While the identity of the ‘lover’ mentioned at the concert is unknown, some speculate it can’t be Li Xuan as those rumors have been shut down already.
