
Hong Kong singing legend Jacky Cheung, at 62 years old, has been captivating audiences with his 60+ Concert Tour. However, it was recently announced that his originally planned performances fo March 8th, 9th and 10th in Shanghai has been cancelled. The singer was feeling unwell and advised by doctors to rest. CMC Live made the announcement saying it was done in consideration for the artist’s health and public safety, and to ensure the overall high quality of the performance. They apologize for any inconvenience.

The cancellation has sparked an outpouring of support from fans. After all, the singer’s recent performances have made headlines, including a jaw-dropping split during a Singapore concert and a flawless rendition in Macau, among others. However, there were also times when he felt unwell and fell during a concert in Malaysia. Many are impressed with Jacky Cheung’s dedication. He begun his concert tour in June 2023 having sung over a hundred shows already with still a few more months of touring to go, proving that age is just a number for the legendary artist. Fans have flooded social media with messages of support, expressing their concern for Cheung’s well-being and wishing him a speedy recovery.
UPDATE MARCH 8: Jacky Cheung revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been self-isolating at home. He hopes to see everyone again on the Shanghai stage.
