After meeting in 2012 and having their child Bada (Korean) / Dahai (Chinese) last year, Korean actress Choo Ja Hyun and her Chinese hubby, actor Yu Xiaoguang finally held their Korean wedding banquet in Seoul’s Namsan Grand Hyatt Hotel yesterday to coincide with their son’s first birthday celebration.

The Korean-Chinese couple met while appearing in a Chinese drama in 2012. They first went public with their relationship in 2015 and eventually married in 2017. Choo Ja Hyun has appeared in many projects since venturing into the Chinese entertainment industry and is fluent in Mandarin although the actress has returned to K-Ent in recent years. She will also make a special appearance as the main character’s mother in the high-profile drama The Arthadal Chronicles.

“Because of your tenderness, I wanted to marry you; because of your imperfections, I fell in love with you”.

It was an event to remember as photos and videos shared by the couple’s wedding coordinators Wise Wedding and friends show them laughing, sharing kisses and pretty much ecstatic. Of the ceremony, the couple exchanged vows bilingually to honour both their roots in a ballroom elegantly draped in white and decorated in a sea of white and pale pink flowers with a touch of red. The groom wore a classic tuxedo and the bride can be seen wearing a tiered beaded strapless gown in their wedding celebration overflowing with love and laughter.

Congratulations to Choo Ja Hyun and Yu Xiaoguang!
